A new dollar

Following the recession we are currently in, and during the next decade when China, India and EU all grow faster than the US, someone will come up with an intelligent idea: create an economic union between Canada, the US, Central and South America. Similar to the EU, each country would maintain its cultural roots and nationalist tendencies (especially venezuela - good luck bringing them into this), but there would be one monetary currency.

Our current dollar is getting weaker and will continue to do so as we head towards a mediocre superpower. At some point, in order to maintain foreign investment and to naturally increase the value of the dollar, a combining of the economies of south, central and north america makes too much sense to avoid.

By 2025? hopefully.
