If I owned a baseball stadium and the season was over, I'd let sportsfans come to the stadium to watch the local pro football team on the gigantic television in centerfield.
I'd earn new revenue on a small stipend for entering the stadium as well as selling beer and food.
Assuming the baseball season ends with 10 weeks of football remaining on the NFL calendar:
- 10000 fans at $2 per entry = $20k
- 10000 fans x 2 beers at $5 per beer = $100k
- 10000 fans x $10 food = $100k
Total: $220k x 10 weeks = $2.2 million (less labor, clean up and food/beverage costs).
